DIY – Pumpkin Pie Spice and the best of Vegan – Recipes for after Fright Night
Don’t throw away those Halloween Pumpkins, instead make some yummy dishes with the leftovers. Make your own Pumpkin Pie Spice and use it to bring that warm winter flavour to your palette.
DIY – Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
4 tablespoons cinnamon
3/4 tablespoons nutmeg
3/4 tablespoons ground cloves
1 tablespoons ground ginger
1/3 teaspoon ground cardamom
Mix all the spices and store in an airtight container or jar.

The pumpkin pie spice will come in handy as we have been reading lots of recipes that ask for a can of pumpkin pie filling, we’d obviously rather make our own, and being here in India right now there are lots of gorgeous pumpkins! (and not a tin in site).

Hi Adam,
I agree, It’s so much better to mix up your own ground spices at home from fresh ingredients, at least we know what goes into it and the flavors are so much sharper when they are fresh.
